Litigation Solicitor

Role Description

  • 12+ months litigation experience required
  • Excellent Academic Record (a minimum of 2:1 is preferred but 2:2 applicants will also be considered; below 2:2 will be considered if exceptional circumstances are explained in the covering letter)
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience of managing own case files
  • Enjoys and has experience of working as part of a small, focused team
  • Experience of organizing and delegating work to colleagues
  • Ability to think critically and analytically
  • Works well under pressure and multi-tasks
  • Salary commensurate on experience

This busy litigation team is looking for a Litigation Solicitor with solid litigation experience who can provide assistance to members of the team and take on responsibility for specific sections of the work. The work will be varied and will include assisting in the litigation of a large class action this small firm is currently handling. Your role will involve drafting letters, applications, managing your own case load, liaising with overseas law firms, research, drafting witness statements, preparing bundles, contacting clients and attending court.

Role Description:  Paralegal/ Legal Assistant 

Location:  London offices; Hong Kong office

  • Document management
  • Taking client instructions
  • Supporting fee earners in Conveyancing and Commercial Property transactions
  • Immigration visa applications and appeals
  • Drafting pleadings and witness statements
  • Preparing court bundle
  • Translating from English to Chinese and vice-versa
  • Attending court with lawyers if required
  • Other administrative tasks
